Niece of Jessica receives a sort of silver article from the person who was murdered years earlier. Jessica decided at that time that she would trace the mysterious person who had sent that thing to her niece. In her search Jessica goes to a circus and sees supernatural sort of things happening.
The second episode was presented on October 5, 1986. It was named as "Death Stalks the Big Top: Part 2" and in this episode Jessica joins different links and chase for different murdered that had occurred one after the other.
The third episode was presented on October 12, 1986. It was named as "Unfinished business". In this episode a policeman who has already retired decides to work on a case, he had been unable to solve in his job. He goes towards lake in search of clues but at the same time another murder takes place.
The fourth episode was presented on October 19, 1986. It was named as "On white rose for death". In this episode Jessica was attending a music concert in Washington where she found a murderer.
The fifth episode was presented on October 26, 1986. It was named as "Corned Beef and carnage" Jessica seriously tries to help her niece who was accused of murder of her boss who wanted Jessica's Niece to do something more than just her advertising skills for a client.
In the rest of the 17 episodes Jessica finds many people dead in Cabot Cove. Cabot Cove suddenly comes in attention of media when a T.V reporter is found dead in a boat. An artist dies and a painting of his was stolen. In the last episode Jessica is busy in a recording when suddenly lights are gone. When lights are back Jessica finds a person murdered. The knife in the back of that person resembles a knife present in the cutlery set of one of the Jessica's friend. Jessica thinks of a plan to catch the real culprit. All the Murder She Wrote Characters are portrayed very real and very nicely in the complete third season.
